SUZANNE FULLMER
Raspberries, road trips and reading are some of Suzanne’s lifelong favorites. Inspired by an amazing mother and devoted grandmothers, she was raised in Kansas City with dreams of traveling and being a mom and grandma herself.
Suzanne married her best friend, Dan, and graduated with a degree in Special Education from Brigham Young University in 1991. She taught school for a short period before becoming a mother and has been hard at work ever since, although seldom for pay.
Beginning with a semester in the Middle East during her college years, Suzanne has been fortunate to visit several countries around the world. including a life-changing family trip to serve orphans in China in 2012, where she met two of her children, bringing them home a year later.
Suzanne finds great inspiration, motivation and joy in each of her eleven children who are turning out to be incredible individuals: thoughtful, smart, creative, ambitious, and gifted, even with various challenges and failings. Isn’t that true for each of us? We all have our strengths and our weaknesses. The trick, Suzanne believes, is to cherish ourselves and our children through all the ups and downs of life, learning to thrive not in spite of, but because of our unique circumstances. “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” and “The best is always yet to be.”
Suzanne loves seeing life get better and better with five of her children married, eleven beautiful grandchildren and two more coming soon.
