Momivate wants to share the magic that is meant to shine in children’s eyes on Christmas morning, when the glow of the Christmas tree lights up their faces.

For families where funds are low, decorations are the first thing to go so that groceries and presents can be purchased instead.

Every November, Momivate gathers “mominations” for families who need an extra boost in order to have the decor that creates a backdrop for the magical holiday memories every child deserves!

The families that are chosen can pick up their decoration kits the first week of December from a home located in West Valley City or from one of our Utah County or Salt Lake County Revolving Closet locations.

“Mominate” a family you know — and yes, you can mominate your OWN family!

Christmas of 2021 was the debut year of our Memory Trees program, and it was a smashing success, thanks to Stephanie who was both the brains and the brawn! Over 25 families were given Christmas trees and decorations! In subsequent years, we have continued the program when possible, involving other volunteers when Stephanie wasn’t available — so another 25 families received decoration kits. 

Stephanie is back on the team for the 2025 season! She’ll be providing Christmas decoration kits to as many families as resources permit. So glad to have you back, Stephanie! Let the “mominating” begin!
