Sarah P.

As a foster parent, Sarah’s identity is protected so she doesn’t have a bio or photo to share. She would like to say: “Motherhood is something I have dreamed about, I feel blessed to be a mother and am thankful for my father in heaven who has allowed and blessed me with my sweet kiddos and they call me mommy!”

Heidi Garrett

Former Director to Activate

Heidi Garrett, a young mother of four children, loves all creative endeavors but is particularly fond of cooking without recipes and making her husband eat all of the leftovers if she doesn’t like the results! She also experiments with a wide array of art mediums just so she can use her Hobby Lobby coupon. She has started countless sewing projects that are impossible (at least for her) to finish.  She frequently finds herself lost in the paradox of wanting to go out into the world and make an impact, versus trying to spend as much time as possible with her children to make that impact. Her struggle with postpartum depression when she was a new mother to twin boys gave her a desire to help new moms make the transition into motherhood with more support and tools to find joy and success in what they were doing instead of just feeling trapped, exhausted, and overwhelmed. She is inspired and motivated by all that Momivate can do to help mothers find that joy and success, as well as what it will do to elevate the position and esteem of mothers in their own eyes and in our society.

Former Director to Cultivate

I like to explore and experience the world around me. I adore traveling and so far have got to live in Russia (as a church missionary) and do a study abroad in England. I hope to get the opportunity to explore more countries.

My husband and I with our six children have lived in Florida, near the beach with warm weather year-round. Currently, we live in Alaska, exploring the last frontier and life in a cold climate. Motherhood is its own kind of adventure. I appreciate all the women who have influenced and helped me in my mothering journey and I am thankful for this opportunity to be able to help other mothers in their mothering journey.

My kids range in age from 7 to 18 with the oldest soon leaving home for his own new adventure of life. I graduated from BYU with an English degree. Most of my adult years have been spent as a full time mom. Recently I became certified as a life coach and really enjoy helping people with the process of harnessing their thoughts and being proactive in creating an intentional life.

Former Director of Schedules & Systems

Growing up in a large family (fourteen kids), Cindy thought motherhood would be a piece of cake. Surprise! Having kids is a lot of work and they don’t come with an instruction manual!  She is so very grateful for the many moms that have taught and helped her over the years. Although there is a lot of work involved, she has found strength in other moms. The success she found through raising her own three children is the inspiration for her blog RESILIENT MOTHERHOOD. She earned a degree in elementary education, has worked and served on the local community councils, and just started a professional home organizing business, HELP ME ORGANIZE. It is her passion to help other moms be successful raising their families.

Marlyn is a single homesteading, homeschooling momma. She says: “I want to create a sustainable life for my 2 daughters.” She was “mominated” for the Wall of Honor by her friend, Regan, who admires Marlyn’s purposeful pursuit of her goals in spite of obstacles, and her deliberate motherhood that is focused on her daughters’ success. Marlyn declined including a photo of herself so Regan chose this symbolic photo of a Mother Hen feeding her chick.

Maleah Gordon is an enthusiast for growth. She is a mom to three little cuties, and a wife to an awesome guy. She is currently homeschooling and enjoys learning together as a family. She also is passionate about fostering love for nature and God’s creations. She spends a lot of time hiking, camping, backpacking, dirt-biking, boating, and just enjoying the outdoors. Maleah found her calling as a Foot Zone Practitioner several years ago and is now the Owner at Enlighten Foot Zone Academy. She is in love with teaching people how to develop their gifts so they can help others heal. She is grateful for holistic healing, as it has served her and her family for many years. Maleah’s favorite mantra is “Every opportunity is an opportunity to become a better human.”

Maleah says, “I am so grateful to be a momma on this page. Like many moms, I sometimes wonder if I am doing ‘enough,’ loving ‘enough,’ or kind ‘enough.’ I am grateful that through God’s grace and help I can improve each day and learn happier ways of living. I LOVE being a mom and am so thankful for them.”

Former Director of Energy (Eating, Exercise, and Sleep)

I love the color fuchsia. I am a slow reader but all of my favorite books are all very long. I adore what a truly talented writer can create in an epic novel.  I belong to a book club but mostly it is so I can talk to other moms and eat yummy food. I eat dessert twice a day; don’t judge me. I wish my finger nails magically stayed painted all of the time without having to do them. I grew up with cats but we have a dog. And a frog. I think snow is magical. Snow is where I fell in love with my husband eighteen years ago. I get a little bit grumpy when it is over eighty-five degrees. I have a wall in my living room with black and white photos of my ancestors.  I enjoy inviting people over for dinner and playing board games. I graduated (cough::cough) years ago from Brigham Young University in dietetics and recently finished writing a mothering book called Last of Her Kind. I take thousands of pictures every year, but I can’t help myself, I love the beautiful collage we are creating together of our lives. Above all else, I am a Child of God. Second only to that is devoted wife and loving mother of eight children. (Fort Collins, Colorado)

Rebecca Walker

Rebecca was born in 1971 in Salt Lake City. Throughout her childhood she lived in Utah, Arizona and Montana. She graduated from Murray High School in 1989 and moved with her family to Virginia, then to Idaho, and finally back to Utah where she currently resides.

Rebecca has been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since she was a child. She married her husband Mike in in the Jordan River Temple in 2000 and they are raising their three children; 16 year old twins, Connor and Heather, and 12 year old Shawn.

Rebecca has always loved music and started playing the piano at age 4. This led to her decision to pursue a Bachelor of Music at the University of Utah and continue on with some graduate work as well. She taught piano lessons for many years, but now she just enjoys playing the piano for herself and her family.

In 2012 Rebecca, along with her husband and children, started taking Kenpo Karate lessons and in 2018 she earned her black belt. She helped her husband open a dojo (Black Dragon Kenpo Karate) in their basement where they teach kids and adults the art of Kenpo and the skills of self defense. That same year Rebecca joined Paparazzi Jewelry and Accessories and has built a budding business by selling amazing $5 jewelry on her website (www.pinkdragonjewels.com) and doing Facebook and YouTube live parties.

Rebecca absolutely adores the Star Wars universe and she sees a parallel to life in the stories. Some of the life lessons she’s learned from Star Wars are you must follow your own path, you should keep your promises, anger and fear lead to evil, you should pass on what you’ve learned, and no matter how deeply you fall into darkness there’s always hope for redemption.
