What is MomEconomy?
The MomEconomy App connects you to other moms and lets you swap services like household help, professional services, tutoring, or childcare. It doesn’t cost you a penny, and you make new friends while you’re doing it.
Use “MomUnits” within a trusted mom-to-mom network to serve each other based on mutual needs and agreed-upon values. MomUnits can be earned two ways:
- By attending mom support groups (S.M.I.L.E. Gatherings), where you meet other moms and build connections.
- By sharing your skills with other moms: they give you MomUnits as gratitude, and your account grows.
Then, give your MomUnits in gratitude for the helpful services other moms provide to you!

How does it work?
First, make an account on the registration page, then you’ll be able to login, create a profile, and search for moms and services near you. To be able to give and receive MomUnits, you’ll need to get verified by a Momivator (facilitator of our support groups, called S.M.I.L.E. Gatherings). As you attend these groups, the Momivator can deposit MomUnits into your account, acknowledging your efforts to grow personally and with other moms (as a “MomUnity”). See this list for several ways to earn MomUnits!
Once you are verified and have some MomUnits, feel free to look at services offered by other moms, offer some of your own, and see if there are ways you can collaborate to provide services and build the MomUnity. Each transaction contributes to the “village” we need as we RAISE UP society! Thank you!

How can I install?
Since the App is offered through a website, the installation process depends on the device you use.
Apple/IOS
From the MomEconomy login page, select the three dots at the bottom of your screen, then click “Share” and then “More”. From there, click “Add to Home Screen” and MomEconomy will show up as an app on your phone. When you tap on this app, the login page opens, you’re just one step away from getting into your account!

Android
From the MomEconomy login page, tap on the three dots next to the URL in your browser. From there, select “Add to home page” and follow the prompts to add it as an app on your home screen. If the option isn’t there, try pressing and holding on the URL to pull up another options menu. This one should have the option “Add Page Shortcut” which will take you through the steps to add MomEconomy to your home screen.

Profile
After you have registered, your profile page will open, where you need to tap “Edit Profile” to complete more details. When setting your profile photo, choose one with your face so other moms can recognize you when you meet up! This will be an important part of getting verified. Until your account is verified, you’ll have a “Not Verified” flag at the top of your profile, which is a security measure as we build a trusted mom-to-mom community. Once verified, you’ll be able to send and receive MomUnits!
Other moms will see most of what you see on your profile page: you contact information, your children’s age categories, your profile picture, and services you offer. Services are selected from a premade list, which we can adjust to more accurately describe your talents! Please fill out a feedback form if you can think of any other services we should add.
Only you can see your account balance, and this is displayed only after you’ve been verified.

Search
The search tab lets you search for moms and services. Select whether you want to search for a mom’s name, a specific service, or a zip code. Then fill in the search terms.
The results of your search will include the moms’ names, zip codes, verification status, profile picture, and services offered. Note: There may be more than one page of results. If so, use the buttons at the bottom to see other pages.
Once you find a mom you would like to contact, tap her name to pull up her profile so you can briefly get to know her. When you tap on her phone number, your texting App will open so you can send her a text, introduce yourself, and discuss the services she offers that you will need!

Transactions
Ready to transfer MomUnits so you can thank a mom for her services? Navigate to her profile by searching for her or her service and then selecting her from the list. Once you are on her page, you can send the number of MomUnits you agreed on. You may also request MomUnits when you’ve provided a service, which the other mom can approve.

- Using the app indicates you agree with the terms of use, which include Momivate’s values and beliefs.
- MomUnits do not represent cash. They have no financial value and are not guaranteed.
- MomUnits recognize a mother’s donation or gift to others and helps a mother show gratitude to another mom for services provided.
- You agree to ensure that any qualifications associated with any services you receive as a user on the App are sufficient for your own purposes (licensing, for example).

How do I get verified?
Reach out to a Momivator (a peer facilitator of our SMILE Gathering support groups). Make sure your profile photo is a clear view of your face.
I’m not a mom; can I still participate?
Yes! Qualifications to participate are:
- A desire to reward moms for their work by offering your services in exchange for MomUnits.
- Potentially using a mom’s services that she offers through the App, allowing her to earn MomUnits.
- Getting your profile verified by a Momivator.
Can I buy or sell MomUnits?
No. MomUnits do not represent cash and have no financial value.
I represent a business; can our company have a presence on the App?
Thank you for wanting to support mothers by offering your services in exchange for MomUnits! We are working on this aspect to be included in a future update. In the meantime, feel free to fill out the feedback form explaining how you envision participating as a business.
